A Pro Tool is licensed to your site. How the licence runs depends on how your site is run:
- Hosted sites licence Pro Tools month by month. If a renewal is missed there are seven days' grace before the Tool pauses.
- Self-hosted sites buy a Pro Tool outright. It never stops working; updates come for the support period you bought.
- A paused Pro Tool keeps its data. Renew and it comes straight back, exactly as it was.
- The free version steps back in. Blog Pro falls back to Blog, Security Pro to Security, Contacts Pro to Contacts and Email to Mail Reader. Shopping Cart Pro leaves your shop and every order just as they were.
