Put history in order.
Timeline turns your events and their dates into a game. Players put the cards in order - all at once, or one at a time into a growing timeline, with a life lost for every wrong guess. The dates stay on the server until a card is placed, and the most points, then the fastest time, top the leaderboard.
What Timeline does for you
Any date, even BC
A year, a month and year, or a full date. 44 BC works, and so does the Big Bang.
Sort or Place
Drag every card into order and send it once, or place the cards one at a time into gaps.
A fresh deal every go
Each go draws its cards at random from all your events. With more events than cards a go, every go is different.
Pictures and facts
Each card can have a picture, and a few words shown once it is placed.
Paste a whole list
One event a line, or columns from a spreadsheet. Lines it cannot read are listed for you.
Leaderboards and bests
Today, this week, this month and all time, with a personal best and a Share button.

Fair to every player
Always a right answer
Every two events must be in a definite order, and no two may share a title. The editor tells you which two to change.
You choose what is shown
Show the dates as each card is placed, at the end, or never - so a player cannot learn the answer with one go and come back to play it perfectly.
Straight answers.
- The dates stay on the server. A card reaches the page with its title and picture only; its date arrives when it is placed, or at the end if you allow it.
- The server keeps the time, and a tie on points goes to the faster time.
- Players give a name only - no account and no email.
