Bring your WordPress site with you.
Every Domma CMS site has a free WordPress importer built in. Upload the export file WordPress gives you, see exactly what will be made before anything changes, then run it. Pages keep their addresses, and old links redirect to the new ones.
On sites we host, we switch the importer on for you when you are ready to move.

More than posts and pages.
In the admin, go to Tools › Maintenance › Import from WordPress. Upload the file from WordPress's Tools › Export ("All content"). Each part below appears in the preview, where you choose what to bring.
Pages
Every page, with its parent and child pages, at the same address. The page WordPress used as its home page becomes your home page, and the one already there is kept as a draft.
Posts
Posts go to the Blog with their categories, tags, featured images and approved comments. Yoast and Rank Math titles and descriptions carry over.
Media
Images and documents are downloaded from the old site, or taken from a zip of its wp-content/uploads folder if the old site is already offline.
Menus and widgets
Menus come across as menus. Widgets, saved with the free Widget Importer & Exporter plugin, become blocks, and footer widgets go straight into the footer.
WooCommerce products
Products go to the free Shop with their prices, sale prices, SKUs, stock, pictures, categories and options such as colour and size.
Custom post types
Events, team members, portfolio pieces and the like become collections, with fields from your custom fields (ACF included), or pages. You choose for each type.
Authors
Authors become users with the role you choose, matched to existing users by email. If you want, each new user is emailed an invitation to set a password, valid for 7 days.
Old addresses
Every address that changes gets a redirect, including WordPress's ?p=123 links, so links from search engines and other sites keep working.
Check first, change nothing by surprise.
- Preview before anything changes: every page, post, file, product and user is listed with what will happen to it.
- Run it again: it updates what it made, never duplicates it, and leaves anything you have edited since alone unless you choose Overwrite.
- A report for every run: what was made, what was skipped and what needs rebuilding by hand.
- Careful with downloads: files come only from your old site, and scripts are never imported.
Some things are rebuilt, not copied.
An export holds your content, not your theme or what your plugins do. The importer lists anything it cannot convert, so nothing is lost quietly.
- The design: pick a Domma theme and adjust it, or have us match your current look.
- Plugin features: forms, bookings, memberships and the like are rebuilt with Domma Tools. Page-builder layouts and unknown shortcodes are listed to rebuild.
- Personal data and settings: passwords, shop orders, customers, coupons, form submissions, and tax and shipping settings are deliberately left behind.
- Connections: payment providers, mailing lists, analytics and maps need connecting again.
Keep the old site and its database until the new one is checked. Test on a staging address first: check pages on a phone and a desktop, submit every form, and click through the old addresses that bring you the most visitors. Then point your domain at the new site.
Rather we did the move?
We offer paid migration help for WordPress sites. Tell us the current address and what the site does. We will run the import, rebuild what it cannot bring across, check the redirects, and send a scoped price before any work begins. The price depends on the site, so there is no fixed quote.
If you would rather do it yourself, the free migration tutorial takes you through it. You can also compare Domma CMS with WordPress and other platforms before deciding.
