Post to Facebook and X from your Domma CMS site

Social Media Pro now publishes to Facebook Pages and X, alongside LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon. Draft, schedule or send posts from your Domma CMS admin.

Publish a new article on your website, then tell people about it on Facebook and X without leaving your admin. Social Media Pro 0.5.0 adds both networks to Domma CMS, alongside LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon.

Choose where a post goes, change the words for each network, and send it now or leave it ready for later.

From a page to a social post

Open Social > Posts and press New post. Pick a page and Fill in brings across its title, description and link. Each connected network gets its own text box, so a longer Facebook update and a shorter X post can say the same thing in different words.

The counter under each box shows how much room is left. X's counter accounts for its shortened links and emoji, so a long article address does not use up the whole post.

Then choose:

  • Now to publish straight away.
  • At a time to schedule it.
  • Keep as a draft to come back and finish it.

The Posts tab keeps the drafts, what is scheduled and a record of what went out, with a link to each published post. Scheduled posts also appear in Calendar when that Tool is enabled.

Connect a Facebook Page

In Social > Accounts, the new Facebook Pages card connects a Page you manage. Posts go out as that Page.

You need a Meta developer app with Facebook Login and permission to publish to the Page. The card shows the redirect URL to add to the app, then asks for its App ID, App secret and the numeric Facebook Page ID. Save the app, press Connect and allow access to the Page.

Meta may require app review and business verification when the app is used by people outside its own app roles. Personal Facebook profiles and Groups are not supported.

Connect X (Twitter)

The X (Twitter) card uses your own X developer app. Enable OAuth 2.0 with Read and Write access, choose a Web App, and add the callback URL shown in Social.

Save the app's Client ID and Client secret, then Connect and allow access to your account. X can renew the connection for scheduled posts; if access is withdrawn, Social asks you to reconnect.

X charges for API usage, including publishing posts with links. Add credits in the X Developer Console before you start, especially if you plan to switch on automatic posting.

Prepare posts as you publish

Social settings can prepare a post whenever a new blog post or page appears. Pick the connected networks and choose whether to keep the result as a draft or post it automatically after a delay.

Start with drafts if you want to check the wording first. Links can carry campaign tags so Analytics shows which network brought visitors back to your site.

Facebook and X publishing currently sends text and links. Direct photo and video uploads are not included in this release.

Find it under Social

Publishing connections live in Social > Accounts. If you are connecting LinkedIn to publish posts too, that is where to do it: SEO Pro > LinkedIn Ads is for ad reporting and website conversion tracking.

Facebook and X support is part of Social Media Pro 0.5.0, included with SEO Pro. The update is already on every hosted site that has Social Media Pro. Each connection uses your own developer app, with its saved secrets kept on your site's server.
