Showcase / Reports from Saved Views
Live data - ViewsAsk your data a question. Put the answer on a page.
A Saved View is a question you ask a collection once - "how many products per category, and what do they cost?" - and then show anywhere. The two reports below read the same 24 demo products as the catalogue, and update the moment a product changes.
ACME range by category (demo)
How many products each category has, the cheapest and dearest, and the total of their list prices. Click a column heading to sort.
Group rows
By category, counting the products and working out the lowest, highest and total price.
Order rows
Most products first, then by category name.
Reshape fields
Give the columns readable names - Cheapest (£) rather than cheapest.
Cordless under £150 (demo)
Only the cordless tools priced at £150 or less, cheapest first. The same view, shown as cards this time - a view can use any of the eight collection looks.

Built in Data > Views, one step at a time.
Pick the collection, then add steps as cards: Filter rows, Group and total, Join a collection, Compute fields, Order rows and more. A live Results tab runs your unsaved view as you go, so you see the answer before you save.
The Access tab decides who may read it: everyone, chosen roles, or each signed-in person seeing only their own rows.
- Totals, averages, minimums and maximums per group
- Joins across collections - orders with their customers, jobs with their applications
- Right-click a step to move, copy or delete it, or run the view up to that step
- Shown with
[view]in any of the eight looks, with search and paging if you want them - Also a JSON endpoint, under the same access rules
From spreadsheet to live report.
Import your data into a collection, build the view once, and the report on your site keeps itself up to date.
